Labour & Birth Prep

Just as each one of us is as different as the next - each pregnancy is unique.  Even if you have experienced pregnancy before, it's rarely the same journey twice.  It depends on the individual, type of pregnancy (how many babies you're carrying, for example) and any existing conditions you may have (diabetes to name one.)  It will also vary on gestation; each trimester comes with it's own 'ups and downs'.

We explored movements and breath to help ease symptoms like;

  • Constipation

  • Heartburn

  • Swelling

  • Low energy levels

  • Back ache

  • Calf cramps

  • Headaches

  • Nausea

  • Vomiting

Of course, this list is not exhaustive and you may experience more than one at the same time.

During the class, I invited you to turn your focus inwards, noticing physical sensations as well as thoughts and feelings.  This helps to strengthen your intuition and build confidence within your pregnant body.  If you like to practice yoga at home, it can help to use a journal to explore what comes up for you.

"Everything grows rounder and wider and weirder, and I sit here in the middle of it all and wonder who in the world you will turn out to be" - Carrie Fisher
